Geospatial Fusion Analyst
3GIMBALS is seeking an inquisitive Geospatial Analyst with a strong analytic
background in data discovery, automation, scripting, and problem-solving to be part of a
dynamic team of innovative analysts. The position requires deep expertise in GIS, data
creation, processing, analytics, and image analysis skills. We work primarily in the open,
with access to alternate networks, when appropriate.
What you bring to the table:
The ability to extract and/or acquire geospatial information, derivative information, and
multi-INT data for analysis and visualization to solve problems and enhance the
knowledge of intelligence issues. This includes extracting specific feature data following
the Feature Data and Terrain Data Specifications, project-specific guidance, and other
customer data and product specifications. Provide Geospatial Analysis services in
support of the production of standard and non-standard intelligence products.
Specifically:
- Extract and/or acquire geospatial information, derivative information and multi- INT data from selected sources for analysis and visualization
- Mine vast amounts of data (structured/unstructured) for useful insights
- Apply geospatial analytical methods, substantive intelligence expertise, and logical judgments to solve problems
- Write analytical intelligence reports, graphics, and briefings to communicate the analysis rendered
- Construct models to aid in data collection, conditioning, and analysis
- Assist in developing and implementing a metadata catalog based on customer standards
- Assist in establishing and managing geospatial analysis research and production
- Create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products
- Assist in identifying, compiling, and assessing geospatial and imagery data sets to support requirements
- Collaborate with analysts and customers as required
Required Skills :
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Geospatial analysis experience (min five years)
- Knowledge of standard geospatial analysis software and applications suites to include ArcPro, ArcMap, QGIS, Google Earth, Microsoft Virtual Earth, ERDAS Imagine, RemoteView, and FalconView.
- Knowledge of R, SQL, and Python; familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks, GitHub, PostGIS/PostgreSQL, or Visual Studio is an asset
- Knowledge of customer specified digital data formats including but not limited to commercial imagery, NTM, airborne, motion and full-motion imagery, panchromatic data, spectral data, and SAR data
Desired Skills:
- Current TS clearance with SCI access and current SSBI date
- Successful completion of a geospatial analysis training course (GITP, DoD Intelligence Training School)
